JERRY MARINO
(Founder)
and past Managing Director of the company, Jerry has been involved in theatre for more than 35 years. His professional credits include; Mr. Lipari in the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of A View From The Bridge, with Anthony LaPaglia, Allison Janney, and Tony Danza. Regional efforts include, Coach in Hitting for the Cycle at 12 Miles West, Earl in Adult Fiction at New Jersey Repertory, Mr. Dussell in The Diary of Anne Frank at Chenango River Theatre, Gus in Southern Comforts and Nunzio in Over the River at The Bickford. Jerry’s also proud of his years in community theatre, having won a best lead actor award for his portrayal of Fran in Gemini at Circle Playhouse. He also earned Perry award nominations for Max in Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Col. Jessup in A Few Good Men. He played Donny in Alliance Rep’s inaugural production of American Buffalo, named as one of the twelve best productions in NJ that year. Other company roles include Gaston in Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Fire Captain Nick in Anne Nelson’s tribute to 9-11, The Guys. Jerry directed company productions of Three Tall Women and Children of a Lesser God, and received Perry Award nominations for both. Still active as a company Board member Jerry resides in the Poconos and works at local resorts there.
MICHAEL DRISCOLL
(Artistic Director)
has been associated with Alliance since 2000 and took over the reins of Artistic Director in 2004.  He studied acting with Richard Leighton at McCarter Theatre and also with George Di Cenzo at The School For Film and Television. Favorite directing credits include: Blackbird, The Drunken City,The Heiress, Proof, Master Class, Closer, Comic Potential, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Last Train to Nibroc, Popcorn, Match, Spinning into Butter, and Three Days of Rain. As an actor Michael has appeared in over 80 productions. Favorite roles include Alan in Equus, Little Harp in The Robber Bridegroom, John in A Lion in Winter, Peter in Prelude to a Kiss, Jerry in Betrayal, Lt. Kaffee in A Few Good Men, Jacques Roux in Marat/Sade, Oskar in Tales from the Vienna Woods, and Dale Harding in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.  Michael attended Seton Hall University and is an avid Pirate basketball fan.
 
Rachel Brown made her Alliance Rep. debut at Steph in  reasons to be pretty in 2011. She holds a BFA in Theater with a concentration in Acting and a BFA in Dance from Montclair State University. Some of her favorite roles include: Rumpleteazer (Cats), Tzeitel (Fiddler on the Roof), Katherine (Radium Girls: KCACTF Irene Ryan nomination and regional finalist), Lulu (Cabaret), Gilmer (Godspell), Michelle the Dragonette (The Reluctant Dragon: original cast). Rachel is also a founding member of Moe-tion Dance Theater, a professional modern dance company based in NJ, www.moetiondancetheater.org. In her“spare time”, Rachel serves as an adjunct dance and acting instructor at Montclair State University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Along with Rachel’s love of acting and dance, she also has a passion for choreography,and hopes to be the next Bob Fosse or Lucille Ball – whichever comes first!

IMG_4297Laura Casey is pleased to be a member of Alliance Repertory.  She has previously performed with Monmouth Players, Mystic Vision Players, and Westfield Community Players, among others, and always finds the experience exhilarating. Favorite roles include Annette in Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage , Muriel Tate in Neil Simon’s  Plaza Suite , and Jacqueline in Marc Camoletti’s  Don’t Dress for Dinner.

David Christopher
David Christopher was last seen at Alliance as Charlie in The Champagne Charlie Stakes and before that the daunting role of Tobi in Match.  He is scheduled to direct the upcoming production of According to Goldman. David has been acting and directing in professional and amateur theater for over 40 years, starting 1966 by founding Theatre World Four, and playing Littlechap in Stop the World I Want to Get Off.  Since then has played leading roles in many musicals (Sweeney Todd; A Little Night Music), comedies (Private Lives; Royal Family) and dramas (A Lion in Winter; Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf).  A few years ago he played John Barrymore in Barrymore at the Bickford Theater, where he has also directed many plays including Mornings at Seven; That Championship Season; Sylvia.  Later he re-opened Edison Valley Playhouse with Barrymore, where he recently acted in Art and directed Tintypes and The Musical of Musicals, the Musical. David has directed many musicals at Plays-in-the-Park in Edison, including West Side Story; Kiss Me, Kate; Aida; Thoroughly Modern Millie and Singin’ in the Rain.
Cody Dalton recently made her debut at Alliance Rep. playing Dr. Joanne Reid in Still Life. Since succumbing to the siren call of the New Jersey stage in 2004, Cody has worked with numerous theatre companies including: Nutley Little Theatre, Chatham Community Players, Chester Theatre Group, Bergen County Players, Villagers Theatre, Edison Valley Playhouse, and Monmouth Players. Favorite roles include: The Elephant Man (Mrs. Kendal/Pinhead – NJACT Award nominee), Table Manners (Sarah), The Little Dog Laughed (Diane), Enchanted April (Lotty), A Streetcar Named Desire (Eunice – NJACT Award nominee), and Favor (Edith Stein).
Angela Della Ventura
Angela Della Ventura is pleased to be a long-time member of Alliance Repertory. Alliance productions include Dancing at Luhnasa, Spinning into Butter, for which she earned a nomination for Best Actress from the Star-Ledger, The Guys, The Night I Spent With Elvis, for which she won a Perry Award, and Perchance to Dream, written by Alliance founder Jerry Marino. Other favorites include her many characters in the 2 woman show, Parallel Lives, for Dreamcatcher, Mother Superior in Nunsense, and Lee in Marvin’s Room, for which she received a Bigby Award. In Spain for New Jersey Rep, she again played multiple characters including a Mayan Indian! For The Theater Project, Angela appeared in Three Tall Women, Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage, and Defying Gravity among others. She is also pleased to have worked at Centenary Stage, The Brook Theatre, The Forum Theater, and spent several seasons with the Pushcart Players. Angela is also a member of NJ Rep, 12 Miles West, the Theater Project, and Actors’ Equity.
Clare Dill
Clare Dill – recently graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a double major in Theater Arts & Humanities. Her Alliance Rep. credits include: The Velveteen Rabbit Nanny/Timothy the Lion), Blackbird (Stage Manager), The Legend of Quasimodo, Revisited (Sr. Agnes/Simone), Comic Potential (Trudi Floote). Some other recent roles: The Heidi Chronicles (Heidi Holland), The Graduate (Stripper), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cheaper by the Dozen (Miss Brill), The Merchant of Venice (Portia), I’m in Charge of Me! (The Cameo Cast, Tri-State Tour). She’s also been involved with several film projects with companies such as: Manic Attack Pictures, Sweet Victory Entertainment and Murder-to-Go Productions. Clare also teaches Drama through the year for Stagestruck Performing Arts Studio & What Exit? Theater Company.
 Howard Fischer made his Alliance Repertory debut as a nun in Stephanie Youngman’s The Legend of Quasimodo, Revisited and returned as Judge Randolph in A Few Good Men and as Theo in Still Life. Local theater credits include The Fantasticks (Hucklebee), Oliver! (Mr. Brownlow), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Cheswick), Urinetown (Sen. Fipp), Inherit the Wind (Rev. Brown), Rocky Horror (Dr. Scott), Arsenic & Old Lace (Teddy) and Batboy: the Musical (Sheriff Reynolds). Howard has been doing theater since the tender age of 56. “Dreams don’t come with expiration dates.”
Barbara Guidi was last seen Alliance Rep in Perchance to Dream where she played the role of Cookie. A Rutgers Alumni, Barbara has played many roles including Lil Bit in How I Learned to Drive, Beth in The Little Playwright, Kate in Like Bees to Honey and two roles in The Vagina Monologues. Most recently Barbara played the role of Ginny in Open Admissions at The Theater Project where she is a longtime member. Other performances there include playing Joyce in Top Girls and Part C in Three Tall Women. Regionally she has performed with 12 Miles West, Playwrights Theater, The Bickford Theater and What Exit? Theater Company.
Jen Hanselman was last seen in Alliance’s  The Last of the Red Hot Lovers as Bobbi Michelle. She has worked with such groups as Plays in the Park, Playhouse 22, The Strand, Villagers Theatre, The Barn Theatre , Studio Playhouse, and Chatham Community Players.  Past favorite roles include: Skin Deep (Beauty Queen) – originated the role for Samuel French Festival NYC 2010.  Guys & Dolls (Adelaide) The Odd Couple (Gwendolyn Pigeon) The Producers (Ulla) Come Back to the 5 & 10 Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean (Sissy) Teacher’s Lounge (Nora) Nunsense (Sr. Robert Anne) Rocky Horror (Janet N.J.A.C.T nom.) Gus Ibranyi was last seen with Alliance Rep as Jules in boom!, having previously appeared with Alliance as Eddie in The Drunken City (New Jersey Obie, Best Featured Actor by Peter Filicia of The StarLedger) and Randolph in Moon Over the Brewery. Other credits include Proof (Hal), The Little Dog Laughed (Mitchell), The Graduate (Benjamin), I Hate Hamlet (Andrew), Avow(Tom), and Never the Sinner (Richard Loeb).
Kris Longwell
Most recently, Kris Longwell played Harry in Alliance Rep’s New Jersey premier production of Love Song. Prior to this, he played Walt in the award-winning Spilling Stuff & Breaking Things at Luna Stage in Montclair, NJ. Other theater credits include: Alliance Rep’s A Few Good Men as Kendrick and at Villagers Theater in Somerset, NJ, Kris played Felix in The Odd Couple, Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic & Old Lace, Mr. Gilmer in To Kill A Mockingbird and Gene in Sideman. Other credits: John in Olleana (Producer’s Club, NYC), What Fools We Lover Be! (Next Steps Series, NYC), Tumblebrutus in Cats (Hamburg Operettenhaus) and Mark in A Chorus Line (Claridge Hotel/ Atlantic City and Jupiter Theater, Jupiter,FL). Kris is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy. He has studied acting at HB Studios in NYC for many years.
Lilli Markey
Lilli Marques holds a degree in Theatre Arts from New Jersey City University. She also completed the acting intensive at America Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. She makes her living as an actress, director and drama instructor. Some of her favorite acting roles include: Tony and Tina’s Wedding (Donna Marsala), Blackbird (Una), Living Out (Linda)The Country Club (Chloe), Closer (Alice), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Suzanne), Popcorn (Scout), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), Barefoot in the Park (Corie) The Ledgend of Quasimodo, Revisted (Esmerelda)and the title roles in The Velveteen Rabbit, The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty. Lilli has also toured with various professional children’s Theatre groups such as Theatre Project of NJ, Women’s Theatre Co., The Cameo Cast (Tri State Tour), and The Shoestring Players (Tri State Tour). Lilli teaches Drama for Stagestruck at The Wharton Music Center in Berkeley Heights.
Vikki Massulli 908-380-5824 SmileVikki Massulli made her Alliance Rep. debut as Lisa in Boys Life . She enjoys performing onstage locally and in NYC. Favorite roles include Wendy Wasserstein’s Janie Blumberg, Isn’t It Romantic and Quincy Quince, An American Daughter . Credits include : Rumors (Cassie), Fools (Sophia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia & others), You Can’t Take It With You (Essie), Carnival Girls ( Evie), Not About Nightingales (Eva) and the 2008 NYC Fringe Festival. Vikki has appeared in various indie films and on TV in SNL, One Life To Live & Guiding Light. She is a proud member of AFTRA, GIAA & Alliance Rep.
Kelly Maizenaski made her Alliance debut in a drunken stuper as Linda in The Drunken City, a role for which she received a New Jersey Theater World Award from Peter Filichia of The Star-Ledger .  Working in a variety of theater genres, Kelly has performed in several theaters throughout central and northern New Jersey.  In addition to Linda, some of her favorite roles include Emma in Tintypes, Suzy Hagget in The Late Christopher Bean, and she tapped her way through Singin’ in the Rain. Kelly holds a BA in Theatre and Communications from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Matt McCarthy
Matt McCarthy was last seen as Raliegh in See Rock City for Alliance. Some regional credits include The Skin of Our Teeth (Henry), The Lady in Question (Karel), Last Train to Nibroc (Raliegh), The Rainmaker (Jim), Proof (Hal), Betty’s Summer Vacation (Keith), Pterodactyls (Tommy), Side Man (Clifford), The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged (Adam), A Perfect Ganesh (Man), The Country Club (Zip), A Child’s Christmas in Wales (Dylan Thomas), and the 2004 NYC Strawberry One Act Finalist, Destinations (Mike). James Morgan A long-time member, James has appeared in six Alliance Rep. productions, most recently as Ray in Blackbird. Others for Alliance: Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Spinning Into Butter, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, Burn This and the “Monument Hotel” Comedy Café. Other NJ appearances include Educating Rita at the Bickford, Forgiving Typhoid Mary (w/ Estelle Parsons) and 3 Men on a Horse, both at George Street Playhouse, The Normal Heart at George Street 99 and the premiere production of Gesualdo at the Women’s Theatre Company. Beth Painter
Beth Painter holds a degree in Theatre from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and a Masters degree in Education. She was a co-founder of the Contagious Theatre Company in NYC where she produced and acted in numerous productions. Acting credits include Living Out (Nancy), The Sisters Rosensweig (Dr.Gorgeous), Snakebit (Jenifer), The Imaginary Invalid (Toinette), Rumors (Chris), Moon Over Buffalo (Roz), Crimes of the Heart (Lenny), Hamlet (Gertrude), Counselor at Law (Cora), Annie (Ms. Hannigan), Nuts (Claudia). Beth is the founder of The Contagious Drama Workshop, an acting school for children and teens in Westfield, NJ. (www.contagiousdrama.com).

He had stints off-Broadway in Tony and Tina’s Wedding and the comedic monologue show Happy Hour,  in which walked the planks of the Big Apple for three years. Some of his favorite roles include Alan in God of Carnage, Rodolfo in A View From The Bridge, and Eddie in The Drunken City. His directorial credits include A Streetcar Named Desire, Rehearsal For Murder and the Stephen Sondheim musical Company. His favorite food is peanut butter, And his favorite movie is the original “Footloose” which is really the only one you have to see…
 
Terri Sturtevant
Terri Sturtevant is a happy member of Alliance, recently having performed the somewhat frightening role of Mom Brummett in See Rock City. She is also a member of New Jersey Rep, and 12 Miles West. She has performed for The Theater Project (Wilde Night in the Rockies, It’s a Wonderful Life), Dreamcatcher (Fuddy Meers), and What Exit? (Beau Jest, Miracle on 34th Street). Terri won the ACT/Perry award for Bessie in Marvin’s Room, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, and Vivian Bearing in Wit. A few other favorite roles include: Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Bella in Lost in Yonkers, Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy, Mme. Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Claudia in Nuts, Lucille in Gemini, Evy in The Gingerbread Lady, Martha in Strange Snow, Sheila in The Boys Next Door. Last year, Terri filmed two episodes of The Gadget Garage, and three episodes of The Hacking Chronicles. Both were to have been broadcast on the web. She also played Sidney in the short feature film: Done by Thursday.
Elissa Strell recently made her debut with Alliance Rep. as Carrie Ann in Still Life, where she was thrilled and overwhelmed to meet and discuss her role with playwright Alex Dinelaris. An almost 20-year veteran of the stage, Elissa has acted, sung and even danced in theaters throughout New Jersey. Favorite roles to date include Claudia in Nine (4th Wall Theatre), Rapunzel in Into the Woods (Chatham Community Players), Hope Langdon in Something’s Afoot (Gil St. BernardsPlayers), Sunny in The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Barn Theatre), Louise Goldman in Epic Proportions (Barn Theatre) and Leilah in Uncommon Women and Others (Women’s Theater Company). Elissa’s directorial credits include A Funny Thing…Forum, Beau Jest, and Falsettos, along with many one-act plays. A trained vocalist, Elissa has also performed as a soloist in her hometown of West Orange for their Memorial Day Celebration. A video producer by trade, Elissa’s proudest role to date is that of mother to her amazing son, Tyler.
Scott Tyler
Scott Tyler – Scott was raised in New Jersey where he received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Drew University while also graduating from the Papermill Playhouse Conservatory Program in Millburn, NJ.  He has toured with both the George Street Playhouse, Shoestring Players and is a member of the ‘Local Artist Network’ through Two River Theater Company in Red Bank.  Theater Credits: Capture the Flag (New York Theatre Experiment), A Few Good Men (Villagers Theatre),  Burn This (The Company), Love Song (Alliance Rep.), Boy’s Life (Alliance Rep.)
