History
Alliance Repertory is a non-profit 501c3 company dedicated to producing distinctive, challenging and thought provoking theater, and to providing local actors, directors and writers the opportunity to display and expand their talents.
The company has led a nomadic existence since our inception in 1999. As of June 2007, we've presented twenty-eight productions and have performed at eleven different venues.
While a community theater we were nominated for thirteen Perry Awards for acting, directing and production value. The Princeton Packet placed three of our shows, "American Buffalo," "Gross Indecency," and "Laundry Bourbon and Lonestar" in the top twelve productions in all of NJ for 1999, 2001, and 2003 respectively.
In November 2002 we were granted associate membership in the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, the consortium of New Jersey professional theaters.
Effective June 2007, we are pleased to announce a partnership with the Union County Performing Arts Center, 1601 Irving St. Rahway NJ 07065. This partnership provides us with the permanent home we have been seeking and will allow us to develop deep roots in the community.
You have the opportunity to support our ambitious efforts and to insure that our future continues to be bright. We ask your generous support through your attendance at our functions, purchasing season tickets and through your tax-deductible donations. Won't you help us to keep bringing outstanding professional productions to Union County for your enjoyment?
Thanking you for your support. Alliance Repertory Theatre Company
